Moving

Lance & I bought this home 10 1/2 years ago, we got married and started our new life together with our children. We have wonderful memories in this home of happy, sad, good, and hard times. Those years have gone by so quickly & we thank the Lord for them. Last fall we put it up for sale because Lance's job is moving us. It was on the market for 6 months. The day after the listing expired our realtor received a call for a showing, a couple of days later we had an offer. On friday 5/31 we closed on the house. We are looking forward to this friday 06/07 because we are closing on our new home in Macon GA. We are excited to see what the Lord has for us in our new home & city. We will miss our family & all of our friends in Knoxville TN. We love you all so much!

Over due post...

 I apologize for being MIA for so long, I hope you haven't given up on me. I want to share with you today something that is way over due. In November 2011 I won a Kirkland's gift card from Amanda of "Amanda Carol at Home" blog. If you haven't visited her blog you need to, she is a very talented and amazing interior designer and has great style when it comes to fashion. Here's a few pictures of what I purchased with my gift card. I've seen these all over blog world, Internet and retail stores, I love everything it says and as soon as I saw it, I knew had the perfect place for it to hang.                                                                  
                             
This shelf reminded me of one that Pottery Barn sold a few years ago. I was so excited when I saw it and had to get it!

The next picture is of the shelf with some of my things on it.

The angel belonged to my grandmother I call her Maw maw, she loved angels. 

Maw maw is still living, but she has Alzheimer's, she doesn't know any of us

anymore. It is so sad, I love her so much. The books and mailbox are made of 

paper mache, I modge podged scrapbook paper onto them and added jute rope to the 

books and burlap to the mailbox. The roses were in a flower arrangement I 

received for my birthday 3 years ago that I dried.

Hello

I know it's been a long time since you have heard from me, no I haven't fallen off the face of the earth...yet! For many months I had been having some health issues, been on medication for 6 months. I'm doing great now and last week the doctor told me I could stop taking the medication. I'll tell you more about it another time.

My family and I are going through a new transition. My husband worked for a company for 23 yrs before they closed the plant her in TN in the fall of '07. It wasn't the right time to try go to another one of their facilities, with our kids still in school.

In May he applied for a position and had a phone interview in July. He said it was a horrible interview and didn't think he would be called, I told him if the Lord wants him to have this job it doesn't matter how it went. We had family and friends praying with us. It would be 2 or 3 weeks before he would hear about it...1 week to the day they called and offered him the job! The job is in Ga, he has to be there at the end of this month.

We are getting our house ready to put on the market, what a job that has been, all the updates we were planning to do over a longer period of time are having to be done in a very short time. We are going 100 miles an hour trying to get it all done, plus I've been going through all of our stuff, getting rid of stuff, but we still have a lot of stuff! Thank the good Lord the company will be moving us!

Please pray that the Lord will send a buyer for our home quickly. What an awesome and on time God we have, my husband's youngest graduated from high school and now attending UT. At first my daughter wasn't going with us, but a few days ago she told me that she is going to join us at the end of this semester.

In the middle of all of this I did manage to refinish a piece of furniture, I will post about it as soon as I can. I also haven't forgotten that I told you in a previous post that I would show you pictures of the reveal of my daughters room and bathroom. I won a Kirkland's gift card off of an wonderful blog last fall, and I finally did go shopping, I'll share pictures of the awesome items I got and the blog I won it from soon.

My one word for 2012

I have been checking out several blogs the last couple of days and one thing they have in common is that all the writers of the blogs have chosen a word for the year 2012. Most of them have chosen a word to inspire themselves or to help them to be accountable.
So I started thinking about what word I wanted to choose. I am a big procrastinator. I checked the web out to see what one word is the opposite of procrastination.

I found a few words; Action, Motivation, Ambition, Enthusiasm, Determined. 

I have chosen the word Diligent, I like what this definition says about it:
